Pinson TM Limited partners with major traffic management companies throughout the UK. Due to growing demand, the team in Newbury is expanding and welcomes applications from both trainees and experienced professionals for the 12D M1/M2 Traffic Management Operative position.
Role overview
This role involves working as part of a team, including both direct employees and subcontractors. Meeting project deadlines and targets is essential. Operatives are expected to contribute to a safe and efficient work environment while supporting day-to-day traffic management tasks.
Main responsibilities
- Set up temporary traffic signals at designated sites
- Manage traffic flow and encourage public compliance with signals
- Report urgent issues to the site or operations manager
- Demonstrate reliability and maintain a positive attitude toward work
- Read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings accurately
- Install and remove traffic management systems within required timeframes
- Assist with traffic diversions as needed
- Promote safe working practices and maintain quality standards
- Follow the Health & Safety at Work Act at all times
- Comply with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Help with loading and unloading materials
- Report any defects in plant or vehicles
Who we’re looking for
Applicants should be committed operatives or drivers with experience in traffic management. Experience as an M1 or M2 Operative is important. Both trainees and those already qualified are encouraged to apply.
