Job Purpose
We are seeking a talented 3E Templates Developer to join our dynamic European team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining billing templates within the Elite 3E on-premise ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our billing outputs are accurate, compliant, and customized to meet the varied needs of our offices across 18 European countries.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with Finance, Billing, IT, and Practice Groups to create templates that adhere to local regulatory standards, reflect regional billing practices, and contribute to the firm's operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
Template Development & Technical Proficiency
• Design, create, and maintain Elite 3E templates using XML, SQL, and the complete suite of 3E template technologies.
• Implement advanced logic, conditional formatting, and client-specific billing rules utilizing the underlying 3E data model.
• Ensure templates are optimized for performance, maintainability, and scalability across various jurisdictions.
• Stay updated with Elite 3E template architecture, including Design Gallery, template rendering engines, and 3E schema updates.
Local Compliance & Regional Adaptation
• Develop templates that meet local legal, tax, and regulatory requirements across Europe, including VAT regulations, statutory invoice components, language variations, and jurisdiction-specific billing formats.
• Collaborate with regional finance teams to comprehend country-specific billing practices and incorporate them into template logic.
• Maintain documentation of local variations and ensure consistent governance across all regions.
Requirements Gathering & Collaboration
• Work alongside Finance and Billing to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Engage in discovery sessions, providing expert advice on what is technically feasible within the 3E template framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure templates align with firm standards and meet client expectations.
Testing, Quality Assurance & Support
• Conduct comprehensive testing of templates, including data validation, ensuring output meets quality standards.
