The 3rd Shift Expeditor at SanMar in Jacksonville, FL plays a key role in keeping warehouse operations on track during overnight hours. This position runs from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with pay ranging from $17.75 to $24.75 per hour.
Role overview
This role focuses on coordinating daily workflow and ensuring resources are used efficiently. The expeditor implements established processes to help the team meet company goals. Expect to work closely with management and warehouse staff to keep operations running smoothly throughout the night.
What you will do
- Oversee restocking and order quantities, assigning tasks to warehouse personnel as needed
- Understand internal schedules and accurately assess when jobs will be completed
- Communicate daily with management and team members to support smooth operations
- Train and guide staff on production standards, safety protocols, and techniques
- Work with other business units to help meet organizational goals
- Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks or projects as they arise
- Inspect assigned equipment daily and ensure it is returned in good condition
- Operate powered lift equipment when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4-6 years of experience in warehouse or distribution settings
- Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantities, and SKUs
- Basic math skills for counting and assessing quantities
- Positive approach to work, responsibilities, customers, and colleagues
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision
- Completion and maintenance of SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant)
- Ability to follow instructions and adjust to changing job duties
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn internal systems and operate RF units
- Comfort working in a high-volume environment and meeting deadlines
