THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated Account Executive to become a vital part of our energetic team. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in sales who are eager to thrive within a high-growth startup atmosphere. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our founders and marketing team to prospect and secure new business. You will also engage with our existing and potential customers, fostering meaningful relationships that will influence our product offerings and go-to-market strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish foundational processes for customer-facing teams at Baseten
Lead negotiations and close new sales opportunities effectively
Work in conjunction with the marketing and BDR teams to develop a robust sales pipeline, achieving quarterly and annual sales goals
Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in sales accounts
Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance customer experiences and drive sales efficacy
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of proven sales experience in a SaaS environment
Demonstrated success in selling to technical audiences
Familiarity with developer/machine-learning tools is a plus, but not mandatory
Proven track record of closing complex sales cycles
Competence in utilizing sales and marketing automation tools
Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
