About the job

Join Atomic Industries as an Accounting Manager

At Atomic Industries, we are revolutionizing the manufacturing landscape. Our innovative approach transforms how products are created, from automobiles and aerospace systems to medical devices and packaging. Traditionally, tool production has been a labor-intensive process reliant on specialized skills, often taking weeks or even months. We are changing this paradigm.

Based in Detroit, our headquarters blend the robust industrial legacy of America's manufacturing heart with the dynamic speed, intelligence, and precision reminiscent of Silicon Valley. Our AI-powered platform tackles complex geometrical challenges, process planning, and fabrication, drastically shortening production timelines from months to mere days, and soon, to minutes. We don't just develop software; we operate a fully functional factory that produces production-grade tooling weekly, enabling rapid feedback and continuous improvement.

Supported by leading investors, we are committed to restoring agility, flexibility, and capability to the American industrial sector. Our mission is to make manufacturing as adaptable and scalable as the digital world, fundamentally reshaping the infrastructure of the physical economy.

This role is pivotal for an individual eager to lay the groundwork for a scalable accounting function within a fast-paced, growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cost accounting and inventory processes, focusing on standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate data capture, proper cost allocation, and synchronization between operations and financial reporting.

  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, encompassing capitalization policies, depreciation methods, and precise reporting.
