Join our esteemed client, a well-established organization, as an Accounts Assistant for a six-month contract. We are seeking a dedicated professional who can start immediately and commit for the duration of the contract.
Role Overview:
- Your primary responsibility will be to support the Accounts Team in delivering an efficient and effective accounting service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately post accounting transactions to both Client and Office ledgers in a timely manner.
- Assist with cashier functions, control cash, and facilitate payment transactions as required.
- Contribute positively to the overall operation of the Accounts Department.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Maintain precise accounting records and ensure the accuracy of ledgers.
- Manage the input of transactions into the accounting system and oversee daily banking arrangements.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the department.
Essential Duties:
- Post accounting transactions to Client and Office account ledgers.
- Daily banking and posting of receipts.
- Handle Purchase Ledger by inputting and processing supplier invoices after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Print cheques for all accounts.
- Process sales invoices and issue credit notes.
- Assist in daily management of accounts-related computer systems to ensure smooth operation and immediate resolution of issues.
- Perform other duties as required within the Accounts Department.
- Liaise with the Accounts Manager regarding any issues that arise.
