About the job
The Elmhurst Learning and Success Academy (ELSA) is a distinguished four-year certificate program dedicated to supporting students with disabilities. We are currently seeking passionate individuals to teach one or more courses focused on college life and career exploration for the upcoming academic year:
- ELS 001-87 Educational Coaching - Offered during the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00-2:00 PM, starting August 31, 2026. This course aims to provide students with academic support and guidance.
- ELS 020-86 Introduction to College Life - Scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:50-11:30 AM, starting September 1, 2026. This course equips students with essential skills and resources for success in college, promoting self-awareness, independence, and engagement in campus life through various activities and discussions.
- ELS 021-86 Career Exploration - Conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30-11:35 AM, starting February 1, 2027. This course introduces students to career paths and vocational interests through participatory class activities, discussions, and community experiences.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a collaborative spirit, a commitment to higher education, and an eagerness to work with students of diverse abilities.
