Adjunct Faculty, Vocational Nursing – Instructor:
Join Stanbridge University as an Adjunct Vocational Nursing (VN) Faculty member, dedicated to nurturing and guiding aspiring vocational nurses. This ongoing opportunity addresses both current and future educational demands across our various campus locations and specialized areas within the Vocational Nursing program.
We are particularly interested in candidates with recent clinical experience in Fundamentals, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics (Maternal–Newborn Nursing), Pediatrics, and Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing. Faculty assignments will be matched to clinical expertise, program requirements, and faculty availability across campuses.
As an adjunct faculty member, you will significantly impact student achievement by providing high-caliber instruction in classrooms, skills laboratories, and clinical environments. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills development, and supervised clinical experiences, you will prepare students for safe, capable, and compassionate entry-level nursing practice.

High-Demand Instructional Areas:

- All specialty areas require a minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience in the relevant content area within the last five (5) years
- Clinical experience must be documented and verifiable in accordance with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and/or theoretical instruction utilizing approved course materials
- Create engaging instructional strategies that enhance student clinical judgment
- Assess student competencies based on established clinical and academic standards
- Facilitate the application of theory in clinical settings
- Ensure patient safety while adhering to clinical agency and university policies
- Conduct pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning
- Encourage students in reflective practices and critical thinking
- Nurture a professional learning environment that values accountability, integrity, and collaboration
- Support student success through active engagement and adaptive instruction
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student grades, attendance, and performance
- Stay updated with current clinical practices and instructional content
- Participate in departmental meetings and shared governance activities as necessary
