Purpose

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a crucial technical liaison between design/manufacturing engineers and the production team, focusing on the development of scalable, high-reliability automated machining and inspection processes. This role is responsible for driving process improvements, addressing complex production challenges, and eliminating obstacles in part flow. The engineer will spearhead process innovations that facilitate rapid iteration, enhance production efficiency, and scale Divergent's capabilities to meet program demands.

The Role

In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you will be at the forefront of developing, executing, and continuously improving the daily operations for machining, automated assembly, anodization, inspection, and cleaning work centers. You will be a primary technical resource in troubleshooting production issues, refining processes, and enhancing scalability through smart programming, tooling, documentation, and workflow optimizations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in an aerospace production environment, a solid background in supporting the production floor, DFM, machining, assembly, coating, and metrology, and a passion for solving complex shop floor challenges while driving quality, speed, and consistency.
