Role overview
The Aerodynamics Engineer - Modeling & Optimization will work on aerodynamic analysis and model development for Archer's eVTOL aircraft. This position centers on improving simulation accuracy and supporting the advancement of Archer’s aerodynamic software tools.
What you will do
- Run aerodynamic simulations for eVTOL aircraft using models of varying fidelity.
- Create both linear and non-linear aerodynamic models to predict aircraft performance in different flight conditions.
- Analyze data from flight tests and wind tunnels to find discrepancies, validate, and refine aerodynamic models.
- Integrate flight test data into simulation models using established techniques.
- Help improve Archer’s aerodynamic software suite by optimizing methods and workflows.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and pilots to ensure accurate modeling and resolve technical issues.
