In line with our commitment to community empowerment and closing the digital divide, we proudly introduce the After-School AI Program. This initiative is designed to equip students aged 14-15 from Tatu Primary School with essential front-end web development skills through immersive, hands-on learning experiences.
Role Overview
The After-School AI Program Tutor will be instrumental in delivering dynamic and practical lessons focused on front-end web development to upper primary students. This role involves nurturing digital literacy, creativity, and problem-solving abilities through interactive learning and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, curriculum-aligned lessons in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Conduct interactive coding workshops that facilitate deeper understanding of concepts.
- Guide students through both individual and collaborative projects, including online portfolios and real-world simulations.
- Offer mentorship and support throughout project execution.
- Create an inclusive, creative, and collaborative learning atmosphere.
- Monitor attendance, track student progress, and report outcomes to the CSR Officer.
- Assist in the logistical coordination and resource management for sessions in collaboration with the CSR team.
- Contribute to program documentation, gather student feedback, and participate in end-of-program evaluations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, IT, Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring coding, particularly to adolescents or beginners.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap and jQuery.
- A proven track record of simplifying technical concepts for young learners.
- Familiarity with project-based learning methodologies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
- A strong commitment to fostering digital inclusion and uplifting the community.
