Join our dynamic team at hellopatient as an AI Applied Researcher, where you will be instrumental in advancing our AI systems. This role is highly technical and focused on research, making you the in-house authority on cutting-edge AI developments and their practical applications. You will design and execute structured experiments to assess and enhance our AI architecture, ensuring that your insights are effectively communicated to the product engineering team for implementation.
As our dedicated prompting specialist, you will collaborate with the agent platform team, addressing their most challenging issues and elevating the overall quality of their output. This is a behind-the-scenes position, primarily supporting teams engaged in the development of our core products.

What You'll Do
AI Architecture Experimentation
Design and conduct structured experiments to assess innovative AI strategies in a development/prototype setting.
Adopt a scientific methodology , presenting clear, evidence-backed findings that inform which approaches yield superior results.
Remain informed about the latest AI research and introduce relevant ideas for team exploration.
Prompting & Optimization
Serve as the team's prompting expert, refining and enhancing prompts developed by the agent platform team.
Assist with challenging prompting scenarios when iterative approaches fall short.
Enhance team productivity by swiftly addressing complex prompting issues.
Research & Recommendations
Convert experimental outcomes into actionable reports for the product engineering team.
Identify and propose enhancements at the foundational level of our AI systems.
Work closely with engineering leads to prioritize experimental initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
A minimum of 2 years of experience with a PhD; candidates without a PhD should have 4+ years of relevant experience.
Substantial hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI (as opposed to traditional ML/deep learning).
Demonstrated ability to design and execute AI experiments , not merely following specifications, but actively exploring and solving problems.
