You will be responsible for defining the architecture and evolution of our data infrastructure, which serves product, intelligence, commercial, finance, and operations teams, making you the primary liaison across these critical functions.Your Responsibilities:Lead the technical vision and platform roadmap for the data domain, collaborating with principal engineers on architectural strategies that weigh business requirements, reliability, cost, and innovation.Develop and enhance the organizational structure, team dynamics, ownership models, operational processes, and recruitment strategies for the domain.Establish delivery standards and rhythms that enhance predictability while maintaining agility.Promote operational excellence by guiding SLAs, observability, data quality standards, and incident management, ensuring that the platform is dependable, quantifiable, and continually advancing.Act as the representative for data engineering across product, commercial, intelligence, operations, and finance sectors.Collaborate effectively with engineering managers to assess team performance and contribute to the recruitment, development, and retention of strong engineering leaders.Balance the need to support product and revenue teams with the imperative to construct reliable, scalable infrastructure. Communicate transparently about prioritization, going beyond just the “what” of tasks and taking ownership of the overall strategy.
