Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Solutions Architect to spearhead the evolution of our IT systems and automation initiatives at Fortis. In this pivotal senior role, you will enhance our internal technology landscape by leveraging AI, automation, and innovative design to optimize security, scalability, and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include crafting the design of our IT tools and platforms, ensuring they are modern, user-centric, and powered by leading-edge AI technologies such as LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini). This role will report directly to the Director of IT and collaborate closely with Security, Legal, Engineering, and other departments to build robust, secure, compliant, and scalable IT systems.
This position is not merely administrative; it is a leadership role that requires you to research, propose, and drive forward-thinking IT strategies across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, AI-driven IT architectures that align with business objectives.
- Research and propose LLM-based automation solutions for IT processes, support systems, and knowledge management.
- Lead AI initiatives and strategy sessions, facilitating discussions on technology trends and conducting quarterly IT innovation reviews.
- Architect and deploy cloud-native, automation-centric IT systems focused on resilience, performance, and zero-touch management.
