About Aviation Institute of Maintenance
Since 1969, the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) has provided training and education for future aviation maintenance professionals. With 15 campuses nationwide, AIM trains about 20% of all students in FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) programs each year. Nearly one in four certified aircraft technicians in the U. S. graduate from AIM programs.
Faculty and staff at AIM work together to deliver practical, high-quality training that prepares students for real careers in aviation maintenance. The team is committed to helping students build the technical skills and confidence needed for the field.
Position Overview: Aircraft Mechanic Instructor
Location: 5870 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119
Compensation: $31.25 per hour
Schedule Options (Full-Time)
- Day shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 3:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Evening shift: Monday - Thursday, 1:30 pm - 11:00 pm; Friday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
What to Expect
This role is ideal for experienced aircraft maintenance professionals who want to move from hands-on work to teaching. Instructors at AIM mentor and train the next generation of aviation technicians, sharing practical knowledge and industry experience.
AIM provides a five-week new teacher training program to help new instructors transition into the classroom. Additional resources are available for those who want to refresh their foundational knowledge before teaching.
