Main Responsibilities:Engage in the complete hardware lifecycle for diverse mechanical assemblies and structures. Lead the analysis, design, and integration of flight control systems. Assist in configuration development and trade studies. Oversee the conceptual design and analysis leading up to the first flight of various hardware components. Conduct first-order strength and sizing calculations. Create CAD models, manufacturing drawings, specifications, and other necessary documentation. Define hardware development and qualification testing. Requirements:At least 7 years of experience as a design engineer or in a closely related role. Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Strong foundational knowledge of aircraft load paths and systems behavior. Experience in designing bolted and bonded joints. Expertise in flight control systems and kinematic analysis. Proficiency in NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks. Background in rapid prototype aircraft programs from conceptual design through to build. Experience in performing initial part and joint sizing using hand calculations. Preferred Experience:Experience from program kickoff through to production. Involvement in rapid prototype programs. Hands-on assembly experience.
