The Airside Control Supervisor (ACS) oversees daily airside operations at Dublin Airport, focusing on safety and high standards of customer service. This role sets the tone for team professionalism and performance each shift.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Station Load Control Department Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate with tow drivers, coach drivers, toilet service agents, and water service agents to ensure all required services are covered as needed.
- Supervise FTC staff during shifts, monitoring punctuality, recording breaks, and maintaining a professional work environment.
- Ensure staff provide effective post-duty communication for evaluation of Sky Lynx and other assigned responsibilities.
- Conduct daily pre-shift briefings for team members.
- Maintain up-to-date control of information and operational updates using AOS.
- Collaborate with the POD to collect information for daily stand allocations.
- Communicate operational changes to relevant parties via Flight Information System, telephone, or telex as appropriate.
- Monitor and respond to all ground-to-air communications, including phone calls, Sita Messages, and emails.
- Oversee accurate completion of load sheets, whether handled manually or through FTCs’ automated processes.
- Ensure staff begin shifts with the correct uniforms and PPE.
- Apply the compliance caution system when addressing safety breaches.
- Maintain professional relationships with other departments and customers to support smooth operations.
- Proactively update Airside Duty Officers and Duty Managers on daily operations and any potential delays to support contingency planning.
- Review FTC allocations three days in advance and communicate any changes to the Airside Control Manager.
