Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a skilled Amazon Inventory and Demand Planner to become a vital member of our planning team. You will oversee the complete inventory planning and forecasting process for our Amazon channels, ensuring optimal stock levels across marketplaces including the US, UK, and CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Create and maintain monthly demand forecasts for Amazon channels (US, UK, CA) at Style-Color granularity.
- Oversee a 9-12 month planning horizon using weekly and monthly time buckets and outputs.
- Leverage historical sales and inventory data along with monthly updates on vendor lead times, duties, and tariff rates.
- Support accuracy targets in forecasting and implement data-driven inventory tracking methods.
- Utilize various forecasting techniques, including seasonality and exponential smoothing, enhanced by AI tools such as Anthropic’s Claude to project future weekly demand.
Amazon Operations & Inventory Management
- Coordinate replenishment planning, inbound shipment handling, and optimization of storage fees.
- Collaborate with the Amazon Operations Specialist to address inventory shortages, chargebacks, and discrepancies between Seller Central and NetSuite ERP.
- Make strategic decisions regarding FBA vs. FBM during peak periods like Q4 and Prime Days.
- Assess kitting requirements for inbound shipments to Amazon FBA and work with the Operations Team and 3PL partners for timely execution and delivery of kitted SKUs.
Data Management & Analysis
- Engage with complex data sources such as Amazon Seller Central, Netsuite, and Looker.
- Apply transformation rules to address data structure gaps and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the data team for sales and inventory input validation and transformation rules.
- Assist in resolving data quality issues and tracking discrepancies.
