Our dynamic Streaming Team is currently seeking a talented Android Developer.
The Streaming Team is the heartbeat of TIDAL, responsible for ensuring all media streaming functions seamlessly, allowing our users to enjoy their favorite music effortlessly. We pride ourselves on being a cross-functional and autonomous team composed of client and backend developers who collaborate harmoniously to deliver the ultimate playback experience.
Our key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing the Player UI
- Developing playback logic
- Managing content delivery
- Overseeing transcoding, packaging, and encryption processes
As an Android Developer on our Streaming Team, you will engage with:
- Audio and video playback logic
- ExoPlayer integration
- Player UI development
- Caching and downloading strategies
- Working with various media formats, streaming technologies, and content protection mechanisms
- Software architecture design
This role may be a perfect fit for you if you possess:
- A profound understanding of Android, its frameworks, and APIs
- Strong programming expertise in Kotlin and a solid grasp of Java
