What We Are Looking For:A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with over 3 years of experience in Android system development. Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, along with familiarity in C++. A deep understanding of Android system architecture, particularly the core mechanisms of the Framework layer. Strong knowledge of vital components such as Binder, Handler, AMS, WMS, and their operational principles. Experience in independently developing and optimizing Framework-layer modules. Exceptional skills in system performance analysis and optimization, with expertise in tools like Systrace and Perfetto. Solid multithreading programming skills, coupled with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Good coding standards and proficiency in technical documentation. Familiarity with MDEP (Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform) is advantageous.

YOUR ROLE AS AN ANDROID (FRAMEWORK) SOFTWARE ENGINEER:

We are seeking a talented Android (Framework) Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Taipei, Taiwan. In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop core Android Framework modules, including ActivityManager, WindowManager, and PackageManager.

  • Optimize IPC communication mechanisms and enhance the performance of system services like Binder and ContentProvider.

  • Address compatibility issues arising from application calls to system APIs, providing effective technical support and solutions.

  • Analyze and enhance application lifecycle management mechanisms to bolster system stability.

  • Develop and maintain critical features such as permission management and multitasking capabilities.

  • Conduct system-level performance optimizations, focusing on application startup speed, UI responsiveness, and memory management.

  • Identify and rectify system-level stability issues, including crashes and ANRs.

  • Engage in the pre-research and implementation of new features for upcoming Android versions.
