Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Apprentice Metal Refinisher to contribute to our expanding operations. In this role, you will utilize your skills in buffing, stripping, sanding, masking, filling, spraying, oxidizing, and finishing techniques to rejuvenate surfaces to their optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to work order instructions and guidance from the Lead Foreman to ensure all tasks meet quality standards and deadlines.
Utilize solvents, chemicals, pneumatic tools, and power equipment safely and efficiently.
Comply with all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines, including the operation of company vehicles.
Successfully complete all mandatory safety and training programs.
Be available to work night shifts (typically 4/5 PM – 2/3 AM), with occasional day or weekend shifts as needed.
Occasional travel out of town (transportation in company van, daily per diem, and individual hotel accommodations provided).
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or G. E. D. preferred.
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Physical capability to kneel, squat, bend, lift, reach, climb, and carry equipment up to 60 lbs unassisted.
Experience in painting or spraying preferred.
High attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base pay of $20 per hour for the first 30 days of training.
Eligibility for bonus pay plan after successfully completing apprenticeship testing.
