Key Qualifications for Success:Accredited degree in Architecture with current or prospective registration as an Architect in Australia.15+ years of relevant experience showcasing SQEP competence in nuclear, defence, or safety-critical sectors, demonstrated through architectural leadership in high-regulation infrastructure projects. Extensive experience in leading architectural design within complex defence and nuclear environments. Thorough understanding of architectural design principles in nuclear regulated settings and the defence sector. In-depth knowledge of:Nuclear safety frameworks (IAEA standards, ONR SAPs/TAGs, ANNPSR regulations). Defence and government design assurance standards. Hazard management and ALARP demonstrations in facility design. ISO 19443 nuclear quality management and configuration control.

Join our team as the Nuclear Suitably Qualified and Experienced (NSQEP) Technical Director of Architecture, where you will provide exceptional leadership in the planning, design, and execution of defence infrastructure projects across Australia. This pivotal role merges architectural excellence with a deep understanding of nuclear safety, ensuring all facilities are designed and delivered in strict alignment with the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator (ANNPSR), Defence standards, and international best practices (IAEA/ONR).

As the Technical Director, you will be instrumental in defining the design strategy, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing architectural outputs that are critical to nuclear safety cases and regulatory approvals. You will serve as a trusted advisor to all stakeholders and industry partners, embedding principles of safety, resilience, and operational readiness into every architectural decision.
