About the Role
The Architectural Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design and execution of building projects. Responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective completion, this position involves coordinating with teams, consulting clients, developing designs, and preparing budgets.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to gather comprehensive information on design needs, including structural specifications, site location, and budget constraints.
- Specify project requirements encompassing cost estimates, material choices, and expected construction timelines.
- Draft proposals and present them to clients effectively.
- Advise clients on optimal design selections within their budgetary preferences.
- Create architectural designs utilizing CAD software, including AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and 3DMax, alongside manual drafting techniques.
- Collaborate with other design professionals to share knowledge and insights.
- Comply with company policies, regulations, and standards in client interactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of architectural designs and relevant data for record-keeping.
- Stay in contact with clients throughout the construction phase to address any design-related issues.
- Adjust designs as per management or client feedback.
- Participate in industry conferences and workshops to remain informed about current architectural trends and advancements.
- Review bidding documents prior to submission (including drawings, BOQ, and specifications).
- Examine and approve workshop drawings and material selections.
- Travel frequently to construction sites, prospective locations, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with designated engineering firms throughout all design phases, including permitting, and follow up with relevant municipal and fire department authorities.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience.
- Current registration with the Kuwait Society of Engineers is mandatory.
Key Skills
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD, 3DMax, and related software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
