About the Role: Area Clinic Manager
In your role as Area Clinic Manager, you will oversee the operations of up to 12 clinics in your designated region, collaborating with your Area Medical Director as a Dyad to achieve balanced results. Together, you and your Area Medical Director will guide Clinic Managers and Lead Doctors, ensuring our teams excel and provide exceptional care. Reporting to the Vice President of Clinic Operations, you will be instrumental in enhancing our company-wide standards in medical quality training, team development, member experience, and operational excellence.
This position demands a leader who can blend strategic insight with hands-on management. Expect to spend 90% of your time in clinics within your region, with occasional travel to other markets. Availability for nights and weekends may be required to support your teams.
Your Responsibilities:
People Leadership
- Mentor and nurture Clinic Managers and other leaders to foster a high-performing team.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and medical leaders to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Serve as a communication conduit between clinics and the broader organization.
- Lead talent planning to cultivate a pipeline of future leaders and ensure clinics are staffed with top-tier talent.
Operational Excellence & Balanced Results
- Ensure consistent, reproducible outcomes across our four commitments: Medical Quality, Team Engagement, Member Experience, and Profitable Growth.
- Drive key performance indicators through your leadership teams, mastering effective scheduling, comprehensive care, and fostering a culture of development and coaching.
- Oversee scheduling and staffing strategies in your region to maximize efficiency and utilization.
- Enhance performance by focusing on critical inputs that influence clinic success, including membership growth and appointment optimization.
- Have financial accountability for your clinics, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
