Join Datadog as a dynamic Senior Leader of Sales Engineering (SE) and spearhead the growth of a high-performing team of SE Directors across North America, focusing on Enterprise, Majors, and Public Sector accounts.

This influential leadership position is pivotal, with both regional and global implications. You will craft and implement the Sales Engineering strategy for North America while participating in global conversations with Product Management, Engineering, and Go-To-Market teams, ensuring that the unique needs of North American customers shape Datadog's global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Leadership & Organizational Growth

  • Recruit, nurture, and lead a team of SE Directors, fostering a culture of technical excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and execute the technical sales strategy for North America and globally.
  • Establish the vision, priorities, and operational model for Sales Engineering, ensuring alignment with Datadog’s business goals and local market needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership on revenue targets, go-to-market strategies, and strategic customer engagement throughout the region.
  • Act as the North America Sales Engineering representative in global discussions, ensuring regional insights and requirements are integrated into Datadog’s product roadmap and GTM strategies.

Customer Partnership & Advocacy

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level and senior technical executives, showcasing how Datadog addresses critical observability, performance, and security challenges, particularly in light of the rapid adoption of AI.
  • Provide executive support for high-stakes opportunities, guiding teams through complex sales cycles.
  • Act as an executive sponsor for strategic customers across North America.
  • Encourage value-based technical selling, empowering teams to achieve significant business outcomes.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Global Influence

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure cohesive field execution and messaging.
  • Utilize customer and field insights to advocate for regional innovation within Product and Engineering teams.
  • Shape Datadog’s product roadmap and go-to-market strategies through collaboration with global stakeholders.
