Join our expanding fleet as an Assistant Chief Engineer at DOF Subsea, located in beautiful Macaé, Brazil. You will have the chance to work on cutting-edge vessels equipped with advanced technology and engage in dynamic, high-complexity operations such as:

· Handling anchors and deploying torpedoes on AHTS vessels;
· Conducting inspections, maintenance, underwater construction, and saturation diving on RSV, CSV, DSV, and MPSV vessels;
· Deploying flexible lines on PLSV vessels.

We are looking for professionals with expertise in machinery operation, maintenance, and planning, complemented by strong leadership skills focused on safety, operational efficiency, and technical excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Chief Engineer in their absence, ensuring daily functionality of engines, electrical systems, pumps, cargo equipment, oil systems, and mechanical installations onboard;
  • Plan, assign, and oversee routine and preventive maintenance tasks;
  • Keep the Machinery Log and Oil Record Book updated and organized;
  • Train and mentor crew members, trainees, and apprentices while adhering to company standards and procedures;
  • Monitor materials, tank soundings, refueling, and compliance with legal requirements;
  • Operate internal communication systems and be familiar with emergency procedures;
  • Ensure safety, organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness of facilities and equipment;
  • Participate in integrated operations, risk assessments, and pollution prevention initiatives;
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and supervise the safety of the entire team;
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and documents, including the Maritime Health Certificate.
