Overview:
Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC (KBRA) is actively seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant General Counsel to enhance our dynamic Legal Department. This role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members on various legal matters, while being based in our New York office.
About the Legal Team:
The Legal Department is responsible for managing all legal affairs of KBRA, excluding ratings analysis. We work closely with analysts, compliance, finance, technology, and senior management across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
As an Assistant General Counsel, you will engage in a wide array of in-house legal matters, including but not limited to:
- Client Engagement Letters: Review, negotiate, and draft client engagement letters across sectors such as structured finance and project finance. Provide support to Business Development teams throughout the client engagement process.
- Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate governance initiatives, including board and committee meeting preparations, documentation, and governance processes.
- Data Privacy and Cybersecurity: Familiarize yourself with relevant data privacy laws, collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure compliance, and aid in implementing cybersecurity measures and regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Matters: Address legal and regulatory issues impacting KBRA’s operations in the U. S., UK, EU, and globally.
