Role Overview: Assistant Manager & Manager, Transformation & Strategic Change (Special Projects)

Based in Cape Town, this role sits within the Special Projects team, which drives organic growth by investing in new service lines, building capabilities, and leading performance improvement initiatives. The team works closely with senior leadership and the Executive Committee, focusing on high-impact business outcomes.

Assistant Managers and Managers will contribute to strategic change projects and value creation efforts. The position combines commercial and financial analysis, program delivery, and stakeholder engagement. Producing executive-level outputs, such as presentations, steering packs, and trackers, is essential. The role also requires sound judgment to challenge assumptions and keep initiatives focused on outcomes. Occasional travel (up to one or two trips per year) to the UK and other Interpath offices may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the value creation plan, managing complex project workstreams and smaller initiatives from scoping through execution and benefits tracking.
  • Direct analytical work that supports decision-making, including business unit reviews and operating model assessments.
  • Translate analysis into actionable recommendations and detailed plans with clear ownership, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Set up and maintain benefits baselines and live trackers for milestones, benefits, risks, and actions.
  • Oversee governance and reporting for assigned programs, including planning, RAID logs, decision and action logs, and preparation of steering packs.
  • Develop decision-ready materials for senior forums, supporting the Executive Committee and producing Board-level documents when needed.
