As part of our dynamic Merchandising team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products achieve optimal sales and profitability, leveraging the test and repeat model that we proudly champion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the merchandising function to provide accurate data for strategic decision-making aimed at maximizing profitability and supporting overall business growth.
- Assist the Directors in managing the buying function within the agreed business framework, ensuring that all necessary controls and planning capabilities are in place for effective long-term and in-season trading.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Utilize data analytics to enhance sales volume and profitability across designated product categories.
- Assist in category budget planning, including option counts and depth of buy, aligned with the company's financial objectives.
- Monitor stock levels based on weekly sales and stock intakes (WSSI).
- Evaluate sales forecasts and implement necessary adjustments based on performance analysis.
- Analyze sales data to identify best and worst-selling items, providing informed recommendations for action.
- Advocate for promotional opportunities and reorders as necessary.
- Maintain oversight of buying margins and gross profit margins as required.
- Ensure best-selling items maximize their potential.
- Deliver essential data to the Directors and buying team to facilitate informed decision-making and effective planning.
