As an Assistant Nurse, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient care in compliance with established clinical protocols and standards. Collaborating with the Nursing and Rehabilitation teams, you will ensure patient safety and uphold the highest standards of care mandated by CARF.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care by implementing the nursing process, adhering to hospital and unit-specific protocols and standards.
- Set priorities for nursing actions and desired patient outcomes in clinical settings.
- Contribute to homecare policies that align with the organization's mission and core values.
- Champion patient welfare through quality nursing care and evidence-based practices.
- Execute nursing duties within your clinical scope as guided by Nursing Administration and regulatory standards.
- Provide care using relevant clinical assessment skills and knowledge, adhering to best practice competency frameworks.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of infection prevention practices within the homecare environment and report issues per PHS policy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and interventions in patients' medical records, aligning with Pyramids Health Services policies.
- Facilitate continuity of care through effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring collaboration with patients’ families.
- Take responsibility for completing clinical competencies and maintaining your registration license.
- Act decisively in urgent and emergency situations, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Participate in educational sessions and training as mandated by nursing administration.
- Complete assigned tasks from your line manager as required.
