Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.3–5 years of experience in construction project management or relevant roles. Familiarity with EV infrastructure or service center construction is desirable. Experience in constructing service centers, transportation hubs, or infrastructure-intensive facilities. Knowledge of permitting and utility coordination processes. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., Procore). Experience with dashboard tools such as Power BI or Smartsheet is advantageous. Capable of managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing project requirements. Comfortable working in both field and office settings, with occasional travel as necessary. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation across multiple projects.

Turner & Townsend is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager specializing in electric vehicle (EV) service center construction projects. With 3-5 years of relevant experience, you will play a key role in supporting the development of facilities that enhance EV operations through state-of-the-art infrastructure for charging, maintenance, and operational needs. This position is perfect for individuals who excel in dynamic settings and are adept at managing project documentation, onboarding, dashboards, and purchase orders. Prior experience in EV-related construction is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering EV service center construction projects, ensuring they align with client objectives and schedules.
  • Oversee onboarding processes for project personnel and vendors.
  • Maintain and update dashboards and trackers to assess project progress, milestones, and performance indicators.
  • Coordinate purchase orders (POs), document management, and project communications.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to ensure smooth information flow among stakeholders.
  • Monitor and update key project milestones to guarantee adherence to schedules.
  • Support field coordination and resolve issues that arise during construction.
  • Ensure all project documentation is thorough, organized, and readily accessible.
  • Assist in commissioning and project close-out activities, including punch list tracking and final documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners for seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to project reporting and status updates for both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Support the onboarding of new vendors and team members, ensuring their effective integration into project workflows.
  • Assist in coordinating utility connections and permitting processes related to EV infrastructure.
  • Help manage project budgets and track expenditures against forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on safety compliance and site conditions throughout the construction process.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure the integration of EV charging systems and operational technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities as required.
