Assistant Purchasing Manager

Key Responsibilities:Assist in managing and overseeing all procurement and sourcing activities to meet operational and service demands. Lead supplier sourcing initiatives, evaluate vendors, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to maintain competitive cost and quality. Oversee procurement of operational supplies, equipment, chemicals, tools, office supplies, and service-related materials across departments. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to product/service quality standards. Contribute to the development and execution of procurement strategies and cost-saving initiatives. Review and authorize purchase requests and orders within approved limits. Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Warehouse, and other departments to align procurement with operational needs and budget constraints. Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors while identifying potential new suppliers to enhance cost efficiency and reliability. Ensure compliance of procurement processes with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements. Analyze procurement data, track spending trends, and prepare reports for management. Assist in managing inventory control to ensure sufficient stock levels for uninterrupted operations. Supervise and mentor purchasing staff to promote efficiency and compliance with procurement protocols. Support risk management by ensuring supplier dependability and contract maintenance.
