Your Impact as an Assistant Guide
In this role, you will assist in a mixed-age Montessori classroom that includes infants, toddlers, and children ages 3–6. You will help cultivate a calm, stimulating environment where children are empowered to discover, learn, and develop at their own pace.
In a Montessori setting, the environment and the guide collaborate to enhance each child's growth. You will aid in organizing beautiful, intentional learning spaces and support children through individualized and small-group activities, always with respect, patience, and care.
Most importantly, you will help nurture children's self-confidence and help them recognize their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe children closely to understand and cater to their individual needs.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining an aesthetically pleasing, organized classroom environment.
- Support individual and group learning activities.
- Foster warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
- Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to establish a cohesive classroom community.
Qualifications We Seek
- Experience working with children aged 3–6 in an educational or childcare setting.
- A positive, adaptable, and cooperative mindset.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Interest in learning and evolving with the Montessori approach (previous Montessori experience is a plus but not mandatory).
