Your Responsibilities as an Associate Attorney:
- Oversee your own litigation caseload from inception to resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
- Work closely with partners and colleagues to achieve outstanding legal results.
- Perform legal research and compose motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
- Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel during all phases of the case.
- Engage in mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Participate in a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility for both remote and in-office collaboration.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, particularly in first- and third-party automobile negligence, including PIP and no-fault claims.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and complex case files.
- Proactive attitude with a dedication to delivering high-quality work.
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with federal court procedures.
- Experience in alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Background in transportation or trucking litigation.
