Do you have what it takes?Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.2+ years of experience in maintaining SQL Server mission-critical databases.2+ years of TSQL programming experience.1+ year of experience in implementing and maintaining database replication. Strong ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical personnel. Excellent problem-solving skills are essential. Proven ability to meet deadlines effectively. Bonus Skills:Experience with modern data and streaming platforms such as Kafka, MSK, Snowflake, and Aurora DB. Optimization experience with HP Blade and EVA SAN. Familiarity with Veritas Net Backup. Certifications such as MCSE, MCDBA, or OCP. Proficient in . NET technologies. Knowledge of PowerShell. Experience with C# programming.

Role Overview

The Associate Cloud Database Engineer manages SQL Server databases, focusing on optimization, reliability, and security. The position involves both day-to-day operations and project-based improvements, with some responsibilities shared across a rotating support schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and manage multiple SQL Server databases.
  • Tune application and database performance.
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Implement and enforce database security standards.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor SQL Server replication processes.
  • Review code and advise development teams on best practices.
  • Provide 24/7 support as part of a rotation with other team members.
  • Document and maintain standards for database management.
  • Review, approve, and design logical and physical database architectures.
  • Integrate third-party software solutions with internal databases.
  • Lead or facilitate training sessions for staff as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
