About the job
Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA) is an innovative clinical-stage biotechnology firm dedicated to developing advanced treatments for severe immunological diseases. Our mission is to revolutionize the standard of care for patients by targeting the root causes of immunologic disorders. Our flagship product, atacicept, is a self-administered fusion protein delivered as a subcutaneous injection on a weekly basis. This groundbreaking treatment inhibits B-cell Activating Factor (BAFF) and A Proliferation Inducing Ligand (APRIL), both of which are pivotal in stimulating B cells that produce autoantibodies linked to autoimmune diseases such as IgA nephropathy. In addition, we are investigating the use of atacicept in various other immunologic conditions. Vera is also advancing VT-109, an innovative dual BAFF/APRIL inhibitor currently in preclinical development, and MAU868, a monoclonal antibody aimed at neutralizing BK virus infections, which can have severe repercussions for patients, particularly those undergoing kidney transplants. Our core values are the foundation of our culture, guiding everything we do, from attracting exceptional talent to collaboratively advancing our mission and ultimately improving medical treatments for those suffering from immunological disorders.
