Principal Release Engineer We are on the lookout for a Principal Release Engineer to enhance our Release Engineering team. This role involves setting up, maintaining, and developing ongoing continuous integration and deployment infrastructure. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining fully automated CI build processes across various environments, including our global edge cache fleet, internal applications, and those hosted in AWS and GCP. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering a seamless release experience for engineers and possesses a profound understanding of their needs, code shipping processes, and what constitutes world-class delivery infrastructure. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain release tooling for building, packaging, signing, managing artifacts, and deploying software.Drive initiatives that enhance engineer productivity and satisfaction by shortening lead times for changes.Collaborate with development and SRE teams to establish policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and best practices for CI/CD operations.Assist developers with build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, and deployment aligned with tools usage and standards.Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.Participate in on-call support rotation. What we’re looking for10+ years of relevant platform engineering experience, including designing and operating distributed systems in production.Proven experience in building internal developer platforms that enhance developer productivity.
