Join the Valuation Team at Point72
The Valuation team at Point72 plays a pivotal role in overseeing the valuation of diverse investments within our expansive hedge fund, private equity, and venture capital portfolios. Our team’s expertise spans a wide range of financial instruments, from exchange-traded products to OTC derivatives, as well as venture capital and private equity. We provide critical valuations and P&L reporting that support key stakeholders across the organization, including Senior Management, portfolio managers, Risk Management, and investor relations.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Equity Valuation and P&L Reporting Associate, you will be at the heart of Point72’s operations, collaborating with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing real-time and end-of-day valuation processes for publicly traded equities, futures, and options within the firm’s systems.
- Serving as the primary contact for traders and portfolio managers to swiftly address intra-day pricing discrepancies.
- Generating daily performance reports for senior management, aiding in strategic decision-making and investment planning.
- Conducting independent price-testing for the hedge fund’s investments as part of the monthly closing procedures.
- Maintaining comprehensive reporting on external fund investment valuations, P&L, and performance metrics.
- Identifying and implementing improvements in valuation and P&L reporting workflows in collaboration with our Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams.
