Role Overview: Associate Marketing Director, Podcasts
Based in New York City, the Associate Marketing Director for Podcasts leads the launch strategy for new shows, seeks out fresh approaches to audience growth, and improves marketing processes for the team. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, using data, experimentation, and creative thinking to drive long-term results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead launch strategies for new podcast shows, including audience research, brand positioning, visual identity, and multi-channel marketing plans.
- Set clear objectives and performance benchmarks for each launch, tracking results and sharing insights with the broader team.
- Continuously refine marketing processes to improve effectiveness over time.
- For established shows, identify new channels and engagement opportunities, test unconventional tactics, and turn performance data into actionable steps.
- Work closely with show hosts, producers, and teams across Editorial, Communications, and Engagement to align on growth priorities and strengthen cross-promotion strategies.
Collaboration
This position works across multiple teams and acts as a senior marketing leader within the organization, ensuring stakeholders are aligned on growth goals and marketing direction.
