About the job

About the Role

As an Associate Principal - Audiovisual at TEECOM, you will embark on an exciting journey as a mid-level consultant, taking ownership of discipline-specific deliverables and collaborating closely with clients and design partners. Your responsibilities will include managing and delivering small-scale projects while assisting in the execution of larger projects under the guidance of senior engineers. This role marks your transition from a production-focused position to one where you will apply analytical judgment, manage defined project scopes, and adhere to TEECOM’s high standards and documentation practices.

You will work alongside your mentor, senior engineers, and project leads to create precise and coordinated designs. This position will allow you to build your independence through strong documentation habits and consistent follow-through. Your design tasks will involve system design, preparation of drawings, specifications, calculations, and producing coordinated deliverables either independently or in collaboration with the production team.

In this role, you will begin to forge meaningful client relationships, establishing trust through clear communication, dependable follow-through, and thoughtful coordination. You will actively participate in project meetings, programming sessions, coordination discussions, and construction support to ensure alignment with clients, contractors, manufacturers, and design partners.

Internally, you’ll provide discipline scope input for new pursuits, prepare initial fee assumptions, and assist with proposal coordination. Your contributions will enhance team practices by improving documentation, creating innovative tools, and sharing valuable lessons learned, all while progressing through structured mentorship and training journeys.

This position reflects your growing capabilities, emerging leadership skills, and increased accountability for delivering disciplined, well-documented, and coordinated work.
