As an Associate Research Manager at Control Risks, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality of our VANTAGE projects. You will lead a dedicated team to ensure the delivery of insightful, analytical, and meticulously crafted reports that help our clients safeguard their integrity and reputation. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from initial scoping through to post-delivery evaluation, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. You will assist the Associate Director in training and managing both internal and external resources to deliver VANTAGE projects efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the team while ensuring optimal project margins.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Oversee a diverse team of researchers, senior researchers, and team leaders.
- Set clear objectives and responsibilities for each team member aligned with departmental goals.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals.
- Promote the well-being and ongoing professional development of staff.
- Assist the Associate Director in recruiting new talent.
Third-Party Due Diligence Project Management
- Ensure VANTAGE projects are properly scoped, assigned, tracked, and delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Engage directly with clients to clarify project scopes, address inquiries, and propose additional research avenues.
- Review and approve the content and editorial quality of VANTAGE deliverables, ensuring they meet client specifications.
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors, providing constructive feedback to ensure compliance with our global delivery standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Control Risks to resolve client queries effectively.
Regional Research Initiatives
- Regularly connect with other managers and the Quality Assurance team to provide feedback and support on VANTAGE projects.
- Engage in discussions with Client Services and Product teams to offer insights for service and product enhancements.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is required.
- Proven experience in writing, researching, and editing due diligence reports, showcasing excellence in research and writing in English.
- Experience in mentoring and supervising team members.
- Demonstrated project management experience, particularly with geographically dispersed teams.
- In-depth knowledge of research methodologies, databases, networks, online registries, and OSINT research tools.
- Adept at influencing peers and stakeholders.
