Your Role
In this dynamic position, you will become an integral part of our growing UK Healthcare Team, taking charge of client interactions, driving business development, managing key accounts, and delivering expert advisory and design solutions tailored for the healthcare sector across the UK, with potential international projects.
We offer flexible working arrangements, allowing you to operate from any of our main offices or from home. You will engage in a variety of intriguing projects, including Hillerod Hospital in Denmark, Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Royal Marsden, and Shrewsbury & Telford Women and Children’s Hospital.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading and nurturing a team of Structural Engineers within the UK Healthcare division
- Overseeing your own projects from inception to completion
- Executing design work that meets technical excellence while ensuring exceptional client service
- Acting as the structural engineering project manager, appropriately allocating resources and coordinating tasks to meet all deadlines
- Collaborating with fellow Structural Engineers and professionals from other engineering disciplines, such as MEP, civils, and geo-tech
- Enhancing the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team
- Developing and supervising structural engineering concepts and design philosophies
- Engaging with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll in project meetings
- Effectively communicating designs to team members and construction sites
- Implementing best practices to maintain and enhance the delivery of sustainable, zero-carbon, innovative, and quality advisory and design services
- Visiting sites to support the development of structural engineering designs or review ongoing contract works
- Contributing actively in technical groups and team meetings to promote continuous improvement
- Taking initiative and ownership in team improvement projects
