As our practice expands, we are looking for an Associate Wealth Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with a Director who possesses over twenty years of experience in the South African wealth management and family office sector.
Role Overview
The Associate Wealth Manager (AWM) serves as the primary point of contact for a designated group of family office clients. The AWM is responsible for the entire advice delivery process, from meeting preparation to participation in client meetings alongside the Wealth Manager, documenting minutes, managing actions, and formulating proposals.
Clients will rely on the AWM as their main contact between meetings, ensuring that all commitments made during client reviews are executed thoroughly and punctually. As the AWM gains experience, they will take on more responsibilities, including proposal ownership, capital gains tax calculations, and tax planning for their client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Client Meetings & Documentation
• Attend all client review meetings with the Wealth Manager
• Generate structured meeting minutes within 24 hours, detailing every action item with assigned ownership and deadlines
• Maintain a comprehensive action register for the client panel, ensuring transparency on all outstanding tasks
• Coordinate all meeting logistics, including scheduling and communication pre- and post-meeting
Action Management & Client Services
• Direct the Client Services team on all implementation tasks arising from client meetings
• Follow up on all delegated actions, ensuring accountability for their completion
• Act as the single point of contact for all client inquiries and follow-ups.
