This position oversees key audit areas, manages daily engagement activities, and acts as a link between junior staff and management. High standards for audit quality and efficiency are expected throughout each assignment.

Main responsibilities

  • Direct and execute complex audit sections according to firm methodologies
  • Review workpapers prepared by staff and interns, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Mentor junior auditors and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Identify audit issues, perform advanced analyses, and recommend practical solutions
  • Report on engagement progress, risks, and findings to audit management
  • Coordinate client requests, conduct walkthroughs, and manage audit timelines

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards
  • Experience leading audit projects and supervising staff
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and auditing software

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in public accounting, especially with mid-market or publicly traded clients
  • Experience with complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, leases, and equity

Physical and cognitive requirements

  • Able to sit for extended periods and use a computer frequently

Work environment and travel
