Familiar with automotive paints, primers, and painting equipment. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Position Overview:

CSN Collision is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Body Painter/Prep Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for the painting process, which involves essential tasks such as sanding, priming, and masking. This position offers opportunities for growth and advancement within our paint department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize sandpaper, grinders, and other tools to sand vehicle surfaces ensuring a flawless finish for painting.
  • Carefully apply masking tape and paper to shield areas of the vehicle that will not be painted.
  • Thoroughly clean, sand, and apply primer to surfaces prior to painting.
  • Ensure optimal paint adhesion by removing any dirt, debris, and imperfections from surfaces.
  • Assist in mixing paint and primers according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Help operate and maintain painting equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with the painting team to maintain an efficient workflow and ensure the highest quality of workmanship.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
