Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to enhance our talented team. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to assess and repair vehicles in a damaged state, restoring them to their original structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. This role demands a detail-oriented individual capable of multitasking and adapting to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze damage reports and repair cost estimates to strategize the necessary work.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle exterior and interior, ensuring all components, including power accessories and dashboard warning lights, are functioning correctly.
  • Perform comprehensive structural and body repairs: This includes repairing or replacing front-end components, body parts, doors, and underbody components.
  • Utilize frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to straighten bent frames, and employ hand tools to address dents and defects.
  • Expertly weld using MIG welders and compression spot welders.
  • Dismantle damaged areas of vehicles to uncover hidden damages early in the repair process.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by masking and taping, applying primers, and repainting as needed.
  • Use soldering equipment or plastic fillers to repair holes, dents, and seams.
  • Ensure vehicles are restored to factory specifications and conduct inspections and test drives for quality assurance.
  • Read and comprehend estimates and automotive repair procedures, demonstrating proficiency with various materials including metals, plastics, glass, and electrical components.
