Catalyx seeks an Automation Engineer (DCS) to join its team supporting client operations in Kalundborg, Denmark. The focus is on Distributed Control Systems, especially ABB 800xA, within regulated industries such as life sciences.
Role overview
This on-site position involves delivering lifecycle services for clients in high-risk and regulated markets. The Automation Engineer will work closely with organizations in sectors like life sciences, ensuring their DCS environments meet strict operational and compliance standards.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and implement application programs for ABB 800xA DCS systems.
- Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code that aligns with industry best practices.
- Integrate new application programs with existing systems to maintain smooth operations.
- Configure and maintain ABB 800xA DCS to support operational needs.
- Monitor system performance and resolve issues as they occur.
- Apply updates and patches to keep systems secure and reliable.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ABB 800xA systems. Experience from other industries is also considered valuable.
- Knowledge of insulin manufacturing processes, including fermentation, harvesting, centrifugation, HPLC purification, and freeze drying.
- Familiarity with clean utilities such as clean steam, purified water, and SIP/CIP processes.
- Experience with S88 Batch programming is a plus.
- Understanding of GMP, GAMP, and computer validation principles is an advantage.
