We are looking for a skilled professional to assess vehicle damage and determine repair costs in our thriving company, located in Ottawa. Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive the best service possible.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating insurance claims and providing preliminary estimates for parts, labor, and repair costs of damaged vehicles.
- Assessing whether the extent of damages justifies a total loss evaluation prior to the accident.
- Inspecting both exterior and interior components of vehicles, including mechanical systems, and reporting findings to insurance providers.
- Managing parts ordering efficiently.
- Collaborating with various automotive repair facilities to identify cost-effective and efficient repair solutions.
- Completing required forms in compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Negotiating insurance claims and repair costs to mitigate company losses during claims processing.
- Engaging with other departments within the insurance company, presenting your assessments to their teams.
