Join the dynamic team at Bemac Collision Group as an Automotive Glass Technician! In this role, you will play a crucial part in our well-established and rapidly growing organization, directly reporting to the Operations Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include the repair, installation, and removal of automotive glass to ensure our customers' vehicles are safe and sound. Safety is paramount, and you will be responsible for the careful storage and handling of various types of glass, adhering to all safety protocols throughout the process.

  • Prepare damaged areas of windshields and car windows by applying primer.
  • Enhance weather resistance by applying chemical treatments and installing rubber seals around glass edges.
  • Travel to customer locations to assess, repair, or replace windshields and windows.
  • Remove moldings, wipers, screws, bolts, and clips prior to glass installation and ensure proper reinstallation.
  • Inject resin into minor chips or cracks and use heat to repair the damaged areas.
  • Ensure all windshields and windows are clean and free of debris before commencing repairs.
  • Utilize clips, moldings, and adhesives to securely install custom-cut glass in vehicles.
  • Safely remove broken or damaged glass using appropriate hand tools.
  • Adjust or replace window-raising mechanisms as needed.
  • Select the correct tools, safety gear, and parts based on specific job requirements.
  • Thoroughly check for moisture or contaminants in damaged areas, ensuring dryness before and during repairs.
  • Manage temperature extremes by appropriately cooling or warming the glass.
  • Install replacement glass after the old glass has been removed and all preparatory work completed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assess and determine the necessary repairs for damaged vehicles.
