Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician. Possession of a valid Driver's License. Ownership of a basic set of automotive tools, or participation in our tool purchase program. Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. A strong guest-focused mentality and collaborative spirit. Must have and maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license where applicable. Preferred Qualifications:ASE automotive certification in at least one of the A1-A8 categories. Automotive Technician State Inspector License. Completion of an automotive technical school certificate or degree.

Pay: Starting at $16 per hour, with potential to earn up to $35 flat rate depending on experience and certifications. This position also qualifies for additional compensation and incentives.

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will be instrumental in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our guests' vehicles. From day one, you will embark on a thorough Technician training program designed to cover every aspect of your new role while preparing you for future advancement. You will be a vital part of our team, delivering 5-star guest experiences by leveraging your skills to ensure our customers have safe and reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute brake, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and comprehensive automotive repairs and maintenance as per your qualifications.
  • Obtain guest approval for repairs based on your diagnosis while ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections for every service performed, addressing any necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Safely test drive guest vehicles and operate our shop truck for inventory pick-up as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates and provide guidance to General Service Technicians.
